So, when St. Patrick’s Day rolls around I go through pretty much the same routine. I decide I’m not going to do something, then make last-minute plans, then realize I have nothing green to wear and freak out.
Accessories:If you don’t have much green in your traditional wardrobe, why not wear your favorite ensemble and complement it with green accessories. I found a host of necklaces, bracelets, rings and earrings at Lex’s of Carytown with prices ranging from $10 for a cocktail ring to $36 for a chunky green-and-silver necklace and earring set. If you want to sport a little black dress, pair it with green Ted Baker peep-toe pumps, $138.50, and a Monica purse, $59.50 from Eurotrash. The minty green Kersh sweater, $69.50, would be a nice statement over black skinny jeans and a tank top. For those heading to Shamrock the Block, you might want to top off your coat with an affordable green scarf like this one from Target.
Apparel: If you’re going to buy something green to wear, go all the way with a flirty dress. Fab’rik has plenty of bargain-priced options, including this jersey Kelly green number you’ll be certain to wear again and a again.
Makeup: I also like topping my look off with some shimmery St. Patrick-toned eye makeup. My favorites are Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Urb all over the lid and Mildew in the crease. Both are available at Sephora.
