While wandering through Recency Square Mall yesterday, I discovered Charming Charlie across from Forever 21. This new store, which has been open for a few weeks, is an accessories wonderland. The spacious shop is organized by color, and each hue's section is packed with jewelry, purses, shoes, hair accessories and some clothes at reasonable prices. And when I say spacious, I mean it. It takes a lot to impress me when it comes to shopping, but the selection at Charming Charlie did it. I took home two sets of green India-inspired bangle bracelets (about $18 for both sets) that I'll be sporting at a St. Patrick's Day party and left behind lots of sparkly cocktail rings and a delicate multitier necklace with faceted beads.
After checking out the company's Web site, I learned that Charming Charlie was launched in Houston in 2004, and it has been expanding across the east coast ever since. The Regency location is the fourth in Virginia. Next time you're in the area, check it out. I guarantee you'll come home with at least one new wardrobe complement.
